Getting Started

How do I submit a case for review?

You can submit a case three ways: (1) Complete our online form at Submit a Case, (2) Call us at (310) 779-5971, or (3) Email nady@socallnc.com with case details. We'll respond within 12 business hours with a quote.

What information do you need to provide a quote?

We need: attorney/firm name, case type, approximate page count, desired turnaround time, and a brief case description. This helps us provide an accurate quote.

How quickly will I receive a quote?

We provide detailed quotes within 12 business hours of receiving your case submission.

Services & Deliverables

What exactly do I receive with a medical record review?

You receive: organized and indexed medical records, detailed chronology with page references, key findings summary, identification of missing records, and RN clinical verification. All delivered via secure digital portal.

Do you provide expert witness testimony?

No. We provide medical record review and analysis only. We do not provide expert witness testimony or deposition support services.

What is the difference between Standard and Comprehensive review?

Standard Review provides organized records, chronology, and key findings. Comprehensive Analysis adds detailed clinical analysis, standard of care assessment, deviation identification, executive summary, and phone consultation.

Timeline & Process

What is your standard turnaround time?

Standard turnaround is 1 week (5-7 business days) from receipt of complete medical records. Rush service (48-72 hours) is available for an additional fee.

How do I send you the medical records?

After accepting our engagement letter, you'll receive a secure, HIPAA-compliant upload link. You can upload records directly or we can coordinate retrieval with medical facilities.

What if I need the review faster than 1 week?

Rush service is available with 48-72 hour turnaround for an additional $500. Contact us to discuss your timeline needs.

Pricing & Payment

How much does a medical record review cost?

Standard review for up to 1,000 pages is $1,000. Rush service is $1,500. Additional pages are $1.00 per page. See our Pricing page for complete details.

When is payment due?

50% retainer is due upon acceptance of engagement letter. Remaining 50% is due upon delivery of completed review.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept check, wire transfer, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, AmEx), and ACH transfer.

Do you offer volume discounts?

Yes! Law firms with ongoing needs or multiple cases per month can receive discounted rates. Contact us to discuss.

HIPAA & Confidentiality

Are you HIPAA compliant?

Yes. All medical records are handled via secure, HIPAA-compliant methods. We sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with every client.

How do you ensure confidentiality?

We maintain strict confidentiality through encrypted file transfer, secure storage, and adherence to attorney-client privilege. All work product is protected and confidential.

Case Types

What types of cases do you handle?

We handle personal injury, medical malpractice, workers' compensation, nursing home negligence, wrongful death, and product liability cases.

Do you handle obstetric or pediatric cases?

We focus on adult acute care and ICU cases. For obstetric or pediatric cases, we can refer you to qualified specialists in those areas.
